Webinar: CMT Association & University of Toronto – Rotman Finance Research and Trading Lab featuring Tyler Wood, CMT

September 19, 2023
2:00 PM America/New_York

CMT Association and Rotman Finance Research and Trading Lab are partnering to present:

Why Technical Analysis Improves the Investment Process

Bottom-up fundamental research is a common starting point for security selection, but the investment process does not end there. Understanding the lifecycle of a trade, particularly how to manage risk in your portfolio is critical to long-term success.
Tyler Wood, CMT, Managing Director at CMT Association, will discuss how key concepts covered in the CMT program enhance an investment approach focused on fundamental valuation. Students will understand how to apply these concepts to the current market environment with an understanding of three key topics: Relative Strength, Market Breadth, Price Trends and Divergence.
These concepts are some of the most widely used technical tools in the industry and are foundational in the CMT Program learning objectives. Students aspiring toward careers in asset management will discover a practical toolkit for diverse professional roles in the financial services industry. CMT Charterholders lead the field of asset management, market research, and institutional trading.
