Now Non-Members Can See an Educational Web Series Webcast, Too!

Since its inception just over two years ago, the CMT Association's Educational Web Series has been one of the most popular member services among members. So popular that we've frequently received requests from non-members to attend these webcast events on many occassions. Up until this point, Educational Web Series webcasts have remained exclusively for members in good standing. Now, the CMT Association is opening the CMT Association Educational Web Series up to all who wish to attend! For a small fee of $25 US per webcast, non-members may attend the webcasts of their choosing. John KosarJohn Kosar, CMT, is the Director of Research at Asbury Research LLC. John, a 30 year veteran of the US financial markets, spent the first half of his career on the trading floors of the Chicago futures exchanges where he had the opportunity to learn how the financial markets work from the inside out. John is frequently quoted in the media and regularly appears on financial television. He was awarded the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation in 1999, is a former Vice President of the Market Technicians Association (CMT Association) and served on its Board of Directors between 2002 and 2006.

John KosarCody Tafel is an Equity Trader for Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC in Richmond, VA. He is also an Adjunct Instructor of technical analysis in the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, and serves on the Board of Directors for the CMT Association Educational Foundation. Cody was previously the Director of Trading for Rapidan Capital LLC and also the head trader for Shockoe Capital Partners, a long/short equity hedge fund where he managed proprietary capital and developed systematic trading programs. Cody studied the Turtle Trading Method with an Original Turtle in 2005, and contributes technical analysis commentary as an online author for the Emmy award-winning Web site Minyanville. He earned his CMT designation in 2007 and holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia.

He is a regular guest on TV and radio shows nationwide and has had much of his investment research published as headline articles by leading websites, magazines and newspapers. As one of today's top technical analyst, Ken co-hosts San Francisco's newest radio talk show "The Best of Investing" (KNEW-980am). He is also a senior market commentator on one of Los Angeles' most popular business news radio stations (CBS affiliate KNX-1070 AM). He is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and was the founding President of the San Francisco Chapter of The Market Technician Association. He is also a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute and has served on several committees for the San Francisco Chapter. He serves as a trustee for several non-profit organizations such as: The Museum of Finance (New York City), The W Foundation (Novato), USS Hornet Museum, Chabot Space & Science Center (Oakland), San Francisco Fleet Week Association, the Society of California Pioneers (San Francisco) and The Holland Society of New York.
