Catalin Plapcianu is a Romanian mathematical engineer with a Masters in International Business from the International University in Geneva. He is also a member of the Society of Technical Analysts in London.

His work in the field of technical analysis includes the development of technical indicators which have been integrated into Bloomberg. Plapcianu is in the process of developing new sophisticated models of Gann theory.
