Cody Tafel is an Investment Strategist within TSW Strategic Advisory. Cody’s focus is on asset allocation, investment strategy and business development. Cody brings extensive global market knowledge that helps our investment team and clients connect the dots between the macro environment and our security selection to construct portfolios.
Prior to joining Strategic Advisory, Cody held the role of Senior Equity Trader with TSW for over 13 years. Prior to joining TSW in 2006, he worked for Rapidan Capital LLC as the Director of Trading, and for Shockoe Capital Partners LLC as the Head Trader. He completed his research internship with INVESCO High Yield Group in New York.
Cody is currently the Past President of the Board of Directors for the Technical Analysis Educational Foundation (TAEF), promoting education about Technical Analysis at the collegiate level. He also taught Technical Analysis for 5 years at the University of Richmond, and still serves on the Advisory Board for the Student Managed Investment Fund. He serves as Richmond Chapter Chair and on the Leadership and Development Committee for the CMT Association. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Washington, DC Chapter for the CAIA Association.
Cody is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® and Chartered Market Technician® designations.
