Jeffrey A. Hirsch is CEO of Hirsch Holdings and the editor-in-chief of the Stock Trader’s Almanac and Almanac Investor eNewsletter at www.stocktradersalmanac.com. Jeff is the author of The Little Book of Stock Market Cycles (Wiley, 2012) and Super Boom: Why the Dow Will Hit 38,820 and How You Can Profit from It (Wiley, 2011). Mr. Hirsch is a 30+ Wall Street veteran; he took over from founder Yale Hirsch in 2001 and regularly appears on CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business, and many other financial media outlets.
The Stock Trader’s Almanac has been published for over 50 years; the 2023 edition will be the 56th consecutive annual edition.
A devout market historian, old school market technician and fundamental analyst, Jeff uncovers ripe trading and investment opportunities by zeroing in on securities where all three disciplines line up. He shares these ideas on individual stocks, ETFs, commodities and currencies with his eNewsletter subscribers.
Jeff was born the same year Yale Hirsch created the Stock Trader’s Almanac, so he was literally born, bred, raised and weaned on market history and analysis. He spent much of his early life working in the mailroom and doing research.
Jeff studied Philosophy at American University in Washington DC before joining the family business in 1989.
He lives in Nyack, New York with his wife and two boys and their Tuxedo cat.
