Kirk Northington, who holds a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, is a quantitative technical analyst and the founder of Northington Trading, LLC. He is also the creator of MetaSwing, advanced analytic software for Bloomberg Professional, MetaStock and TradeStation. He trades his own accounts, and uses MetaSwing technical analysis methods exclusively. Kirk is the author of Volatility-Based Technical Analysis: Strategies for Trading the Invisible, Wiley Trading Series, John Wiley & Sons Publishers. Kirk holds a BS degree from Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He has extensive experience in control systems and software engineering.
