Michael Batnick is the Director of Research at Ritholtz Wealth Management, where he is a member of the investment committee and heads up the company’s internal research efforts. He spends most of his time developing and implementing risk management and portfolio strategies for the firm’s clients.
Michael is the author of Big Mistakes: The Best Investors and Their Worst Investments which explores the ways in which the biggest names have failed, and reveals the lessons learned that shaped more successful strategies going forward. He has been featured or quoted in a number of different publications and media outlets, including CNBC, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Fortune, and Barron’s. Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Queens College, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and spending time with his family.
