As Director of Research at Ritholtz Wealth Management, Michael Batnick, CFA reads research publications and stays on top the latest trends in the industry. Michael is a member of the investment committee and heads up the company’s internal research efforts. He spends most of his time developing and implementing risk management and portfolio strategies for the firm’s clients.
Michael is the author of Big Mistakes: The Best Investors and Their Worst Investments which explores the ways in which the biggest names have failed, and reveals the lessons learned that shaped more successful strategies going forward. Michael has been featured or quoted in a number of different publications and media outlets. Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Queens College. He has been certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
