Steven B. Hawkins is the Director at Profile Trading Company and has been involved in the markets throughout his professional career. He has acted as an institutional broker and analyst to some of the largest investment banks and trading houses in the world, including Citi Bank, J. Aron, Tudor Investments, Bankers Trust, Enron, Vitol Oil, the Harvard Endowment Fund, and Deutsche Bank. His trading experience comprises proprietary trading in stocks and commodities, development and implementation of trading strategies for “Black Box” trading and setting up and staffing of trading rooms. He is also a partner in a software company which develops trade generating software with a focus on time/price relationships and volume analysis. Additionally, he is a partner in Myan Capital, LLC; a fully automated CTA based in Chicago, IL.
Over the past 20 years, Mr. Hawkins has instructed traders in the United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong. He has also collaborated with other professionals to write several trading books and articles for industry trade publications. His most recent book, Steidlmayer on Markets: Trading with Market Profile, 2nd edition is universally considered to be the classic guide to the revolutionary technical trading methodology called Market Profile™. Hawkins graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in economics.
