Martin J. Pring entered the financial markets in 1969 and has grown to become a leader in the global investment community. He founded Pring Research in 1981 and began providing research for financial institutions and individual investors around the world. Since 1984, he has published the “Intermarket Review” a monthly market letter offering a long-term synopsis of the world’s major financial markets. He is also chairman of Pring Turner Capital Group, a money management firm, and president of pring.com an educational technically oriented web site. Demanded as a speaker worldwide, he is the author of several outstanding books including, the classic Technical Analysis Explained, now in its fourth edition. Recognized by his peers as a technical leader and innovator he was awarded the A.J Frost Memorial Award by the Canadian Technical Analysts Society in 2000 and in 2004 was honored with the Market Technician’s Association (CMT Association) Annual Award. In 2007 he received the Trader’s Library Hall of Fame award. He is also an honorary member of the Swiss Technical Society. Described by Barron’s as a “technician’s technician”, Martin’s articles have been featured in Barron’s, and he has been quoted in The Wall St. Journal, Financial Times International Herald Tribune, The New York Post and Los Angeles Times newspapers as well as the National Review. In 1997 Worth Magazine selected his Investment Psychology Explained as one of the fifteen best investment books of the last 150-years. He has spoken on technical analysis to the Darden Business School, SDA Boconni, Golden Gate University, Harvard Medical School and University of Richmond, VA.
