Russell Berkoven

Born and raised in beautiful Victoria British Columbia in 1957. Joining the financial services industry in 1994 Russ quickly learned that Fundamental analysis had several major flaw’s and weakness’s and began looking for an alternative. Starting with Point and Figure charts as taught by Tom Dorsey of Dorsey Wright which became the mainstay of his analysis method then embracing the Wyckoff Method as taught by Dr. Henry (Hank ) Pruden. Always on the hunt for new knowledge Russ began studying the classic Edwards and McGee and expanding his range of knowledge into other forms of analysis including Elliot Wave and Japanese Candle Stick and incorporating these methods into the Wyckoff framework. In 1999 he came across the “Wall Street Un-Cut” interviews and obtained a copy of Connie Brownes book “Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional” and was also introduced to the late great PQ Wall and David Knox Barker incorporating elements of each of their disciplines into his methods. In 2010 after learning of the passing of Mr.Wall, Russ made contact with one of PQ’s peers and students David Knox Barker and learned that David had expanded PQs work which David calls “Long Wave Dynamics” which improves PQ’s market timing methods by adding Fibonacci grids.
