Dr. Edward Zychowicz earned a BA in economics from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Policy at Syracuse University, and MA and PhD degrees in economics and finance from SUNY-Binghamton. Since joining the faculty of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, Dr. Zychowicz has taught a wide range of finance courses at the undergraduate, graduate and executive MBA levels. He has served as faculty advisor to student organizations such as the FMA (Financial Management Association) and the GFA (Graduate Finance Association), and has served as faculty mentor to students participating in competitions such as the CFA Institute Global Investment Research Challenge and the Adirondack Cup. He is also a faculty inductee of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. His current research interests focus on behavioral finance, technical analysis, socially responsible investing and sustainability. Dr. Zychowicz has had his research accepted for publication in journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Economics and Business, and the International Journal of Intelligent Systems
in Accounting, Finance and Management. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations. Dr. Zychowicz is a past Chairperson of the Department of Finance and currently serves as Co-Director of the Center for International Financial Services and Markets.
