Gina Martin Adams, CMT, CFA, is the Global Head of Portfolio Strategy and Chief Equity Strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a unique research platform that provides context on markets, industries, companies, and government policy, available on the Bloomberg Professional Service at BI. Gina also serves as a member on the Board of Directors of CMT Association.

Gina provides top-down perspective on the equity market, sectors and industries with a multi-disciplined approach that utilizes fundamental, quantitative and technical analysis. She frequently presents her views at industry conferences, professional associations and investment organizations, and has been recognized for portfolio strategy, technical strategy and economics in Institutional Investors’ All-America Research survey.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was the head of U.S. Equity Strategy for Wells Fargo Securities, where she provided analysis and investment allocation recommendations for Wells Fargo Securities’ institutional clients. Previously, she was an economist for Wachovia Bank, and an investment strategy analyst for Evergreen Asset Management.

Mrs. Adams has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations and is a member of the CFA Institute, the CMT Association, the CFA Society of New York, the Financial Women’s Association, and 100 Women in Finance.

Vernon Bice, CMT

Vernon Bice, CMT is a Portfolio Manager at Lord Abbett, where he is responsible for contributing to the management for the firm’s micro-cap growth, small cap growth, mid cap growth and large cap growth strategies. He plays a key role in technical analysis, drawing on his deep experience to provide insights to the portfolio management team. Mr. Bice joined Lord Abbett in 2011. His prior experience includes serving as Portfolio Analyst at Bank of America; Research Analyst at BNY Institutional Asset Management; and Investment Associate at UBS. He has worked in the financial services industry since 2001.

James Brodie, CMT

James Brodie CMT, is head of learning & development at Onyx Capital Group.

James has over 20 years of front-office trading experience having worked for investment banks and a hedge fund in London, New York, Tokyo, and Singapore, predominantly trading interest rate derivatives, FX and automated trading strategies. He also has over 10 years of lecturing & facilitation experience, travelling to 21 countries, and teaching with over 40 major corporate clients.

James is a CMT charterholder (Chartered Market Technician)  and was a Board member of the CMT Association for 7 years. He has appeared on Bloomberg television numerous times conducting live interviews on current market risks and trends. He now hosts Onyx Capital Group’s ‘Macro Monday’ weekly global macro podcast.

James also rowed for Great Britain and won medals at three consecutive World U23 rowing championships. He is a three-time national rowing champion of Great Britain, has completed 8 Ironman triathlons around the world, and has twice swum from Alcatraz to shore!

Akshay Chinchalkar, CMT, EPAT

Akshay Chinchalkar is an APAC Equity Derivatives Strategist at Bloomberg, where his work centers around expanding derivatives coverage with round-the-clock support from a wonderful group of colleagues. Formerly, he was an Asia Cross Asset Editor where he covered all beats that included traditional financial markets and newer themes like cryptocurrency.

Akshay’s professional career spans over 16 years of experience in derivatives trading and technical/quantitative research, with roles spanning sell-side firms and the last 12 years at Bloomberg. He started his career in 2004 as a commodity futures trader and graduated to trading equity derivatives on a proprietary desk before heading derivatives research at one of the largest domestic sell-side firms.

Akshay’s Bloomberg career began in 2009 as a Sales Specialist where he was assigned the responsibility of managing large sell-side accounts and doubling up as a data visualization/technical research specialist. A year down, he became the Market Specialist for Technical Research, with coverage spanning the largest sell-sides, buy-side institutions and central banks spread over South Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Southeast Asia.

After spending 8 years as a Market Specialist, he joined the Workflow Specialists team where he was responsible for corporate workflows. In this role, Akshay assumed responsibility for assisting small, midsize, and large corporations in South Asia enhance their existing workflows using Bloomberg’s Core terminal and non-terminal, ancillary suite of solutions.

With FX execution becoming a core strategy for Bloomberg in 2020, Akshay moved to the Electronic Trading Specialists group, with an objective of demonstrating to both liquidity takers and makers that execution efficiencies can be achieved via Bloomberg’s suite of FX execution solutions.

Effective July 2021, as Editor, his role pivots around closely monitoring market undercurrents across the Rates, Equities, Commodities, Crypto, Credit and FX worlds to generate insights based on visualization techniques and quant powered data analysis.

Akshay holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a CMT Charterholder, a Co-Chair of the Mumbai CMT Chapter, and a former Global Board Member of the CMT Association. He is an EPAT alum from Quantinsti.

Akshay’s core areas of expertise include Technical and Statistical Analysis, Quantitative Research, Data Visualization and Strategy Backtesting. His newfound interests include Python and Algorithmic Trading.

Dean Rogers, CMT

Dean Rogers, CMT assumed the role of President of Kase in Company, Inc. in 2024 after being retained as General Manager and Senior Analyst in 2002 and has worked with Kase since 2000.

 Dean is one of the energy and metals commodity industry’s top technical analysts and writes Kase’s award-winning forecasts. Throughout his career, Dean has overseen Kase’s operations and client support and training. He also teaches Kase’s technical analysis and energy risk management courses, manages programming and development, and collaborates with the founder of Kase and Company, Inc., Ms. Cynthia Kase, CMT, MFTA, to develop new software and conduct quantitative research.

 Dean also designs and writes programs to help expedite and automate parts of Kase’s internal forecasting and hedging systems. Furthermore, he works to improve the Kase StatWare® and KaseX trading indicators and develop new technical trading indicators, systems, and tools.

 Dean holds a BA from the University of New Mexico, having concentrated in Organizational and Information Learning Systems. He is also a member of the CMT Association and a CMT charter holder, has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal®, Bloomberg® and Reuters® publications, and Black & Veatch’s® Cap Markets Report. David Keller, CMT

David Keller, CMT is President and Chief Strategist at Sierra Alpha Research LLC, a boutique investment research and consulting firm focused on helping investors manage risk through market awareness. He combines the strengths of technical analysis, behavioral finance, and data visualization to empower self-directed investors to identify investment opportunities and minimize behavioral biases.

Dave is a CNBC Contributor, and he recaps market action, interviews leading experts, and explores the relationship between investing and behavioral psychology on his “Market Misbehavior” YouTube channel.
Dave was previously a Managing Director of Research for Fidelity Investments, where he managed the Technical Research Department as well as the renowned Fidelity Chart Room. He also served as Chief Market Strategist at StockCharts.com, building on the work of legendary technical analyst John Murphy.

A Past President of the CMT Association, Dave is also a member of the Technical Securities Analysts Association San Francisco and the International Federation of Technical Analysts. He has lectured on technical analysis and behavioral finance as an Adjunct Professor at the Brandeis University International Business School in Waltham, MA.

Dave was formerly a Technical Analysis Application Specialist with Bloomberg LP in New York and was a regular contributor to Bloomberg Markets magazine. He is editor of the book Breakthroughs in Technical Analysis: New Thinking from the World’s Top Minds, published in 2007 by Bloomberg Press.

Dave is a classically trained musician and student pilot, and resides in Duvall, WA with his wife and two children. He received degrees in Music and Psychology from The Ohio State University.

Andreas Clenow, CMT

Andreas Clenow is a Swedish Swiss financier and author based in Zurich, where he acts as Chief Investment Officer of a family office and a co-founder of American asset management app GetHush.App. Over the past three decades, he has been a tech entrepreneur, financial consultant, hedge fund manager, fintech founder, quant trader, financial advisor, board member and a middle management corporate bureaucrat.

Born and raised in the Swedish equivalent of Kansas, he moved to Switzerland in 2002 where he has managed hedge funds, founded and sold businesses and written a few books. His three trading books, Following the Trend, Stocks on the Move and Trading Evolved are all top global best sellers and have been translated to multiple languages. The second edition of Following the Trend was released in late 2022, ten years after the original.

Andreas has also penned a novel, A Most Private Bank based on his experiences in the secretive and often absurd world of Swiss finance. A dark, cynical and gritty depiction of how the game of finance is played in real life, it may either teach you valuable career skills or scare you into a career in telemarketing.

 

David Cox, CMT, CFA, FCSI, FMA, BMath

David Cox is a Senior Portfolio Manager at “Financially INsync” at Raymond James Ltd. in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

He believes technical analysis is essential to making rational investment decisions, and manages assets using fundamentally screened, yet technically driven trend following and swing trading techniques to manage risk and opportunity in client portfolios. He is licensed in both Canada and by FINRA in the U.S. and serves clients in North America (and beyond).

David is a well-known presenter on technical analysis, is very active on Twitter @DavidCoxRJ and produces a weekly webinar called “Where Do We (Investors) Stand?”. He is highly recommended by the Chartered Market Technician Association to which he belongs. David is one of the few dual holders, globally, of both the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. He also has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Outside of the office, he enjoys running, travelling, listening and playing music, and is currently learning Spanish.

Jake Damien Chow, CMT

Jake Damien Chow, CMT is currently the Director of Portfolio Management at CGS International Securities Singapore. His primary responsibilities include managing ETFs. discretionary investment mandates, conducting quantitative research to uncover new sources of alpha, building proprietary models for strategic/tactical asset allocation, developing multi-factor equity strategies, and maintaining the mutual fund selection models.

An experienced and award-winning investment professional with a strong background in quantitative research, Jake is a fervent advocate for systematic strategies that incorporate fundamental and technical factors to minimize human biases in the investment process. His devotion to research has won him the best analyst/commentator in the Asiamoney Retail Brokers Poll both in 2021 and 2020, and he was voted 3rd best investment speaker during INVEST Fair 2019.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Finance from RMIT University (Melbourne). He is a Chartered Market Technician® (CMT), member of the CMT Association and co-chair of the Singapore CMT Chapter.

Cedric Thompson, CMT, CFA

Investment Management Strategist , Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation

Cedric is one of the first to hold the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, and also the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the English speaking Caribbean. As one of the pioneer technical analysts in the English-Speaking Caribbean, Cedric was able to construct US Sector Rotation Models as well as Multiple Timeframe Technical Analysis Overlays.

Cedric has worked at the Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation (TTUTC), for many years and has had various roles in investment and market research, securities analysis, portfolio management as well as investment strategy. His current role is the Investment Management Strategist.

Cedric designed, optimized and constructed Strategic Multi-Asset Allocation Portfolios using Modern Portfolio Theory for aggressive, moderate and conservative investors. Cedric led and reviewed internal equity and fixed income recommendations. He monitored traditional and alternative asset classes and strategies, to seek value on behalf of the Balanced Funds and Pension Portfolios.

Brennan Basnicki, CMT, CFA

Partner, Auspice Capital Advisors ,

Brennan is a Partner and Product Specialist at Auspice. He was previously Director at Campbell and Co, a $5bn systematic Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) fund manager, and Investment Officer at the Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRSIL), a $45bn teachers’ pension plan. At TRSIL Brennan managed a $6bn external hedge fund portfolio and led the Teachers’ first investments into trend-following CTAs, the largest allocation within the Hedge Fund portfolio. Prior to joining TRSIL, Brennan was a Proprietary Trader in Toronto.

Brennan earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Science, with distinction, in Investment Analysis, from the University of Stirling, Scotland. Brennan holds the CFA, CMT, and CAIA charters, and completed the SCR certificate offered by GARP. He is also Director for the Canadian National Day of Service Foundation. An outdoor enthusiast, his spare time is spent kitesurfing, skiing, and paddle-boarding.
