6:00 PM: Session 1: THE END of ANALYSIS PARALYSIS:  Trend Following Simplified

Tyler Wood, CMT – Managing Director, CMT Association | Co-Founder, GoNoGo Charts
Trend identification is arguably the most important concept in technical analysis. And while traders and portfolio managers may be able to explain their process in simple terms: “cut losses short, let winners run,” applying these rules requires discipline. Join Tyler Wood, CMT to learn more about how traders and portfolio managers focus on risk management, position-sizing, and a disciplined approach to capturing returns across multiple equities, options markets, and asset classes, even during rangebound markets. In this session, attendees will learn how to structure their disciplined trading process with consistent rules that fit their investment strategy, but more importantly, to avoid analysis paralysis by keeping their focus on price, not endless indicators. Tyler will specifically discuss relative strength, divergence, momentum, and trend analysis with a view on current markets and the repeatable process portfolio managers can use to capture alpha and protect capital.
Key takeaways include:

Trend Identification rules for entry and exit
Momentum Indicators for confirmation/divergence
Volatility Compression for trend continuation or reversal

6:45 PM: Session 2: Analyzing Markets & Minds: The Fusion of Technical Analysis & Behavioral Psychology

Joel Pannikot – Head Asia Pacific, CMT Association | Founder, Peak You
Joel will help you prepare to embark on a transformative journey into the heart of financial markets at the intersection of Technical Analysis and Behavioral Psychology. This session promises to deepen your understanding of market dynamics by uncovering the profound influence of human behavior and biases. In this session, we will explore how behavioral biases, such as overconfidence, fear, and herd mentality, shape market movements. Dive into real-world examples to witness how these biases play out in the form of price patterns, trends, and volatility.
