Heather Higgins serves as the Chief of Staff & Business Manager for the CMT Association, the global credentialing body for the Chartered Market Technician® designation. In this role, Heather oversees the operational functions of financial administration, human resources, and vendor management, while driving strategic initiatives to support the organization’s mission of advancing technical analysis worldwide. 

Prior to joining the CMT Association, she held key leadership roles, including Sr. Program and Project Manager for the ChartIQ team at S&P Global. Prior to that she was the Chief of Staff to the CEO of Cosaic. She helped to scale Cosaic, bifurcate and exit the company, and integrate the ChartIQ business unit into S&P Global. Her ability to align teams around organizational goals to drive progress has been a hallmark of her career. 

Heather has worked in and lead operations and executive support functions across multiple industries, including Fintech, Higher Education, and Technology Consulting. Her career has allowed her to work in New York City, Los Angeles, Salem, Massachusetts, and Charlottesville, Virginia, where she lives presently. 

A graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Heather has committed to her professional development throughout her career. She is an active member of the Chief of Staff Network and a keen student of organizational leadership, operational excellence, and the methods for building diverse, high-performing teams. She is known for her conscientious attention to planning and her collaborative approach to leadership, ensuring both day-to-day operations and long-term objectives are met with precision and care. 

Heather resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she is actively engaged in her local community. She serves as a Precinct Chief, committed to ensuring free and fair elections, and she volunteers with the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council.
