John Suvanto is a CMT Charterholder and the President of TerraCORE Panels, a building materials company. He is also Co-chair of the Dallas CMT Association Chapter and a Managing Member of Azul, which provides Interim CEO and Corporate Advisory services to a broad range of corporate clients. John is also a proprietary derivatives trader. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of Renewable Texas Energy Regional Center, and was a financier with UPS Capital, where he arranged senior debt and Ex-Im Bank lending facilities for middle market companies and implemented a country risk management program covering Mexico.
Upon immigrating to the United States in 2007, John co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Ironstone Capital, a capital markets research and trading firm. He holds a B.A. in Economics from York University, Toronto, a Master of Liberal Studies from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, and is pursuing a Masters in Management-Finance from Harvard University Extension School, Cambridge, MA. He earned the Chartered Market Technician designation in 2007, and speaks English, Finnish, French, and Spanish.
