Prasenjit Biswas, CMT has more than 15 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry and presently working with Kotak Securities Ltd as a Derivatives Research Analyst (Sell Side) catering to Retail as well as HNI clients. Prasenjit is a firm believer of objective TA and have developed both directional and non-directional strategies for the Indian Equities.  Formerly, Prasenjit has  worked with Standard Chartered Securities (India) Limited and IndiaBulls Securities Ltd in business development roles.

Prasenjit’s core strength is in identifying high momentum short-term trade setups using classical chart Patterns in the Equity space. He also uses the advanced concepts of technical analysis like Order Flow, Market Profile, Breadth and Sentiment to ensure higher probability of success. Further, he has expertise in building models using quantitative methods.

In addition to the above, he conceptualized and developed a new indicator on market sentiment. Prasenjit has named it TRUE BREADTH INDEX (TBI). This indicator objectively measures the psychological bent of the market participants and helps us to decipher the under the surface activity. It has proven to be very effective during major market turning points.

Prasenjit was introduced to Technical Analysis through his elder brother during his school days back in the 1990s. This subject has always intrigued him and as he progressed, he realised his true passion for it.

Prasenjit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and received his CMT charter in 2017.
