Randy Watts, CFA is Chief Investment Strategist for William O’Neil + Company where he provides deep insight on global equity market trends through a powerful combination of quantitative, technical, and fundamental analysis. Randy also manages the global research department, overseeing teams in Los Angeles, London, and India.
Randy’s had a long track record of managing both long only and long-short hedge funds, mutual funds, and institutional accounts. Prior to William O’Neil + Company, he enjoyed his time at The Boston Company and Westfield Capital Management where he managed $4 billion in equity portfolios, including more than $1 billion in mutual fund assets focused on small and mid-cap growth companies.
Randy graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in American Studies. He is a Certified Financial Analyst and is regularly featured on Reuters TV, Bloomberg Radio, and Fox Business.
Art is an area of interest of Randy’s. He serves on the film and video committee at the Whitney Museum in Manhattan and the Collectors Council of the Perez Art Museum in Miami. He also serves on the Leadership Councils for both The Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to acting as an ambassador for the Institute, he chairs a committee that provides scholarships for clinicians to become certified trainers in teaching stress management and resiliency techniques.
Randy loves any sport involving the water: sailing, surfing, rowing, and swimming.
