Raymond H. Chan received his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from New York University. He is now a Choh-Ming Li Chair Professor and Chairman in the Department of Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Fellow and Council Member of the US Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. His research interests include numerical linear algebra, financial mathematics, and image processing.
