Manuel Blay

Manuel Blay is a lawyer and investor with a background in finance. He first became interested in the investment world in 1992, when he made a successful investment in a Spanish bank that was taken over by a larger institution a few years later. In the years that followed, Blay became more and more interested in finance, and by the year 2000, he began reading more books on the subject and investing sporadically. In 2002, he and his family moved to the Dominican Republic so that he could trade in the same time zone as New York. Blay became more interested in technical analysis and began using the Dow Theory to guide his investments. In 2012, he read “The Dow Theory for the 21st Century” by Jack Schannep and had an epiphany that helped him fully understand the theory. He has been a subscriber to Schannep’s service “thedowtheory.com” and has recently taken over as editor.
