Rui Matos joined Catalyst Capital Advisors in 2020. He is currently a Portfolio Analyst of the Hedged Commodity Strategy Fund at Catalyst Funds.

Mr. Matos has over 25 years of investment experience beginning his career on the interest rate swaps trading desk of a major bank. He transitioned to domestic equities as an equity trader on the trading floor of a domestic large cap growth firm. Subsequently, he worked as assistant portfolio manager of a $20 billion international equity portfolio. More recently, he was portfolio manager and chief operating officer of a global value equity firm.

He holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations. Mr. Matos has a degree in Economics and Business from UCLA, and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from UCLA Anderson.
